Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Admission and Assessment: Complete timely patient admissions and ongoing assessments to develop and update individualized plans of care.
  • Direct Care and Evaluation: Provide direct care and evaluate outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Condition Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document patients' conditions and the effectiveness of care and interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Education and Support: Assess educational needs of patients and their significant others, considering cultural and special concerns, and provide teaching and educational materials as needed.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications in accordance with approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning to ensure accuracy.
  • Treatment Administration: Carry out prescribed treatments in accordance with approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend multidisciplinary team meetings as required to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Symptom Management: Identify symptoms and work with the Palliative care Physician for further medical management to optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the UAE
  • Experience in oncology palliative care or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and other relevant software
