Key Responsibilities:

  1. Trading Operations: Manage all procedures of trading, including research and analysis of market trends and conditions.
  2. Market Research: Conduct research and obtain information about particular commodities and market conditions, and correspond with clients about the purchase and sale of these commodities.
  3. Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate delivery conditions and other settlement guarantee details, and calculate and record the cost of transactions.
  4. Spot Trading: Involvement in spot trading where the delivery of goods takes place immediately as opposed to future delivery.
  5. Market Analysis: Keep a keen eye on the market in relation to product and investment pricing trends and demand.
  6. Hedging Strategies: Devising hedging strategies to minimize risk and maximize returns.
  7. International Relations: Visiting international suppliers, surveying international markets, and conducting research to stay up-to-date with the latest financial trends.
  8. Client Relations: Providing expert advice to clients, implementing hedging strategies for them, and building relationships with potential clients and developing new business opportunities.
  9. Logistics and Operations: Visiting suppliers, meeting with clients, and overseeing logistics arrangements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Min 3 years of whole spice trading experience in Dubai or any other Middle Eastern country.
  • Skills:
    • Market Knowledge: Good understanding of the Agri market throughout the Middle East, Far East, Africa, and South East Asia (India/Bangladesh/Pakistan/Sri Lanka).
    • Analytical Skills: Good with numbers.
    • Research Skills: Skilled in conducting market research.
    • Sales Acumen: Sales acumen (added advantage).
