About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on our construction projects, specifically focusing on aviation fuel tank farms. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience working with top-tier main contractors in the Middle East and must hold an ADNOC safety certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Management Systems: Lead the development and implementation of safety management systems across all project sites, with a focus on aviation fuel tank farm construction, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments tailored to aviation fuel tank farm projects. Identify potential hazards and implement effective mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and ensure worker safety.
  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety operations and practices are fully compliant with ADNOC safety standards and guidelines. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ADNOC requirements and ensure team-wide adherence.
  • Design and Deliver Safety Training: Design and deliver specialized safety training programs focused on the unique risks associated with aviation fuel tank farm construction. Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and aware of safety protocols.
  • Investigate Incidents: Manage and lead investigations into any safety incidents or near-misses. Analyze root causes and develop action plans to prevent recurrence, ensuring lessons learned are communicated across the team.
  • Conduct Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at all project sites, focusing on high-risk areas such as aviation fuel tank farms. Address any safety non-compliance issues immediately and enforce corrective actions.
  • Maintain Safety Records: Maintain meticulous safety records, including incident reports, risk assessments, and safety audits. Prepare and submit detailed safety performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop Emergency Response Plans: Develop and maintain emergency response plans specific to aviation fuel tank farm projects. Train all site personnel in emergency procedures and ensure readiness for any potential emergencies.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure all safety expectations are met and exceeded. Provide expert advice on safety issues during project planning and execution.
  • Stay Informed on Safety Developments: Stay informed on the latest developments in safety management, particularly in the context of aviation fuel tank farm construction. Introduce innovative safety practices and technologies to improve overall safety performance.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 Years of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Safety Manager, with significant experience working on large-scale projects with top-tier main contractors in the Middle East.
  • ADNOC Safety Certification: ADNOC Safety Certification is required.
  • Proven Experience in Aviation Fuel Tank Farm Safety: Proven experience in safety management for the construction of aviation fuel tank farms is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management or Related Field: Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Middle Eastern Safety Regulations and International Safety Standards: In-depth knowledge of Middle Eastern safety regulations and international safety standards.
  • Proficient in Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation: Proficient in risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure and Manage Multiple Priorities: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in English: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
