Job Requirements:
The successful Cost Estimator will have a strong background in estimating and experience working on large-scale construction and/or infrastructure projects. They will be able to develop high-quality cost estimates for various stages of a project, undertake three-point estimates for pricing risk, and conduct discrete cost estimating tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for feasibility purposes, planning stage, procurement stage, and pre-tender estimates.
- Manage estimating databases and perform data analysis of rates.
- Conduct cost planning at each design stage milestone, prepare bills of quantities, and conduct design cost checks.
- Undertake design option cost appraisals, benchmarking studies, change management cost estimates, value engineering cost estimates, and operation and maintenance cost estimates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Quantity Surveying/Estimating or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in estimating.
- Strong understanding of pricing specifications and commercial & special conditions of contracts.
- Experience with large-scale construction and/or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in the Middle East is mandatory.
