We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, ensuring seamless execution of logistics processes.
- Safety and Risk Management: Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station and for the team, minimizing risks and ensuring a secure work environment.
- Team Supervision: Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure every shipment meets and exceeds set operational KPIs, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Process Improvement: Coach team members as needed and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes, driving efficiency and productivity.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and enhance quality, ensuring seamless collaboration and mutual understanding.
- Workload Management: Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring all administrative tasks are accurately completed, and workflows are optimized.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending, and reporting on site performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Leadership and Delegation: Deputize for the Operations Manager when required, demonstrating leadership skills and ability to take charge of critical situations.
- Training and Development: Help with training and mentoring new associates, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Process Resolution: Follow up on and resolve any process-related issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of problems.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Be flexible to work in different shifts and overtime when needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to go above and beyond.
- Resource Management: Resource your function from a personal standpoint, including training needs and performance management, ensuring optimal resource allocation and utilization.
