About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at H-E-B. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing building automation systems and integrations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance and support to less-experienced team members, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Infrastructure Architecture and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Technical Collaboration: Engage with external technical teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for system enhancements and improvements.
  • System Configuration and Maintenance: Independently configure, enhance, update, maintain, test, and debug building automation systems and integrations.
  • Project Management: Provide accurate work estimations and meet delivery expectations with tight time windows.
  • Documentation and Training: Create technical documentation and training materials for system enhancements and test scenarios.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Assist with test planning, test case development, and testing.
  • Implementation and Support: Assist with implementation, end-to-end system integration, stabilization, and production support transition.
  • Proactive Monitoring and Alerting: Support the implementation of proactive automated system monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Incident Response: Stay available to provide support during escalation of incidents.
  • Documentation and Closure: Assist with documentation and closure of follow-up action items from significant incidents and recurring incidents.
  • Technical Design Reviews: May assist with technical design reviews.
  • Integration and Implementation: Support the implementation of small to medium integrations of building automation systems.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A related degree or comparable training, certification, or work experience.
  • Technical Expertise: 2+ years of experience configuring, enhancing, and maintaining building automation/integration systems.
  • Systems Integration Experience: Experience as a systems integrator.
  • Development Lifecycle: Understanding of the development lifecycle and processes.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ownership Mentality: An ownership mentality.
  • Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Highly collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Construction and Building Automation Documentation: Experience with construction/building automation documentation (Blueprints, mechanicals, specifications, etc.).
  • Travel: Ability to travel for work.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to manage and maintain relationships with partners, architects, vendors, business and design teams.
  • Protocols and Systems: Understanding of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, Networking, etc.
  • Controls and Automation Systems: Experience with controls and automation systems preferred.
