Key Responsibilities- Guest Interaction: Warmly welcome every guest and establish a professional connection by respectfully interacting with them and understanding their needs.
- Age Verification: Check identification of the guest to ensure they meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco products.
- Drink Preparation: Mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes.
- Service and Presentation: Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages, serve wine and beer to guests, and arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Upselling and Suggestive Selling: Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations to increase sales.
- Customer Service: Provide recommendations and suggestions to guests for choosing drinks and snacks, serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner, and maintain a clean and tidy bar area.
- Inventory Management: Maintain liquor and tobacco inventories and consumption, collect payment for drinks served, and balance all receipts.
- House Bank Management: Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per hotel standards.
- Supply Replenishment: Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests.
- Communication: Communicate in English, both written and spoken; other languages are an advantage. Good personality and positive interpersonal skills required.
