Job Description

Role: Branch Manager

Location: Ajman - Al Humaidiya Branch

Job Purpose:

As a Branch Manager at ADIB, you will be responsible for managing the branch and reporting regional branches to maximize new business opportunities and deepen existing relationships, while providing quality service delivery in an efficient operation that complies with Islamic Sharia requirements, where risks are well controlled.

Key Accountabilities:

The main responsibilities of this role include:

Business Acquisition:

  • Generating new business through marketing calls and in-branch contacts through an open-door policy in meeting customers.
  • Setting and monitoring sales plans for HPB, HCF, PBRs, CFRs, and other sales staff as per forecast.
  • Coaching sales staff to increase sales productivity and cross-selling.
  • Referring prospective business to other functional units and authorities.
  • Enhancing ADIB's image and reputation.

Service Delivery:

  • Monitoring branch service standards for customer satisfaction.
  • Customer retention efforts with personal involvement in complaint resolution, account closures, and inquiries.
  • Obtaining ad-hoc customer feedback.

Operations and Support:

  • Controlling and supervising operations work processes for compliance with ADIB's Credit & Operational Policies & Procedures, thus maintaining an acceptable internal and external audit rating.
  • Facilitating and implementing work process improvements.
  • Approving/recommending credit applications.
  • Assuming HOP's responsibility during vacation of HOP.

Proactive Mentoring and Management:

  • Maintaining staff morale and relationship.
  • Observing, coaching, training, and counseling staff towards expected behaviors.
  • Identifying training development needs for staff and ensuring that these are met as per schedules.
  • Appraising staff individual scorecard deliverables against scorecard targets.

Management of Branches:

  • Managing branches in a specific region allocated for management for profitability and good governance.

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required:

  • Detailed knowledge of ADIB's Retail Banking products & services.
  • Broad knowledge of ADIB's Retail Credit & Operational Policies & Procedures.
  • Specific knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
  • Thorough knowledge of all the Regulations issued by Central Bank of UAE.
  • General awareness of competitors in the local market.
  • Detailed knowledge of service standards.
  • Training & Presentation skills.
  • Sales & Marketing skills.
  • Management Information skills.
  • Computer Skills.

Previous Experience Required:

Minimum three (3) years' experience as a Branch Manager in the U.A.E in a banking environment.
