The Student Life Coordinator is a key role within the SABIS Network, responsible for establishing and maintaining a thriving Student Life Organization (SLO) at our schools. This position empowers and motivates students to contribute to improving school culture and raising academic standards, while fostering their balanced and comprehensive development into responsible, world-class citizens.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the Student Life Organization and all activities within its departments, ensuring effective coordination and cooperation with various school departments.
- Recruit, build, and maintain a high-performing SLO team, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication with other departments.
- Motivate and inspire students to join the SLO, actively participate in school life, and continuously improve themselves, the SLO department, and the school.
- Proactively plan the academic year based on school requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment with SABIS Network's goals and objectives.
- Promote SLO achievements, events, and activities throughout the academic year, highlighting student successes and contributions.
- Ensure proper training of student prefects, equipping them with academic, managerial, and leadership skills, as well as responsibility and accountability.
- Guide and motivate prefects to meet administrative and academic needs, providing them with necessary tools and resources for success.
- Collaborate closely with Academic Quality Controllers and Heads of Departments to ensure the SLO contributes effectively to school success and raises academic standards.
- Manage the advising curriculum, scheduling teaching of relevant topics between the SLC and appropriate staff members.
- Coordinate with the Student Management Coordinator to ensure the SLO is actively involved in maintaining high levels of discipline at the school.
- Meet regularly with the School Director to review SLO performance and yearly goals, ensuring alignment with SABIS Network's principles and guidelines.
- Hold weekly meetings with the SLO Leadership team to review departmental goals, achievements, and challenges, seeking solutions and planning for the future.
- Participate in and lead school events and activities, such as trips, competitions, and games, coordinating effectively with concerned departments and administration.
- Recommend actions as needed, ensuring the SLO operates in accordance with SABIS Network's principles and guidelines.
- Perform other related tasks as delegated by school management.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- English proficiency.
- 3+ years of relevant experience (Experience in the SABIS Network is preferred).
