Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative digital solutions for invertebrate phenotyping, leveraging automated symptomology analysis to drive business growth.
• Design and execute semi-automated C. elegans behavioral assays to inform strategic project goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, automate, and scale up assays, ensuring seamless integration with existing platforms.
• Identify and introduce new technologies, techniques, or methodologies to enhance productivity and efficiency across projects.
• Maintain a deep understanding of key strategic project objectives and propose, design, and execute experiments using invertebrates to achieve these goals.
• Effectively communicate outcomes of experimental activities to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
• Provide training and support to team members to ensure proficiency in running assays, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Ensure high standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, adhering to risk assessments, reporting safety incidents, and contributing to the lab stewards community as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Hold a degree or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, with a strong technical science background.
• Proven experience working with model or pest invertebrates, with C. elegans experience being a significant advantage.
• Background in behavioral analysis would be highly desirable.
• Experience with automation and scale-up of assays would be a valuable asset.
• Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python, would be an advantage.
• Excellent note-taking and organizational skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and influence outcomes.
