Transportation Infrastructure Specialist

The Transportation Infrastructure Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of underground stations. This involves conducting regular safety inspections, monitoring compliance with safety regulations, and addressing operational issues. The specialist must also work closely with station staff, maintenance teams, and external contractors to address operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
  • Monitoring station operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to schedules
  • Overseeing crowd control measures, especially during peak hours or emergencies
  • Providing support to station staff and passengers during emergencies

Operational Oversight and Compliance

The Transportation Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, and operational activities. The specialist must also ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and operational regulations. In addition, the specialist works closely with station staff, maintenance teams, and external contractors to address operational needs.

Passenger Assistance and Emergency Response

The Transportation Infrastructure Specialist assists passengers with inquiries, directions, and accessibility needs. The specialist must also respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate evacuation procedures when necessary. In the event of an emergency, the specialist acts as a point of contact, ensuring that protocols are followed.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (essential)
  • Certification or training in safety management, transportation, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public transportation, safety inspection, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with underground station operations and safety protocols
