As a key member of the Wood team, the Senior Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning and control, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- **Project Planning and Control**: The Senior Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans, ensuring that they are aligned with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- **Schedule Management**: The Senior Planner will review and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software, ensuring that they are up-to-date and accurate.
- **Project Monitoring and Control**: The Senior Planner will monitor and control planning activities throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- **Stakeholder Management**: The Senior Planner will liaise with engineering, procurement, construction functions, and other stakeholders to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements.
- **Reporting and Communication**: The Senior Planner will provide copies of project plans and schedules according to project reporting requirements, as well as project progress and performance status reports.
- **Change Management**: The Senior Planner will review and issue updates to project plans and schedules, as well as project manpower requirements, in response to change notifications.
- **Performance Evaluation**: The Senior Planner will monitor and review overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and evaluate project performance in relation to planned performance.
- **Collaboration and Teamwork**: The Senior Planner will attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required, and participate in schedule risk analysis and Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement Reviews.
- **Mentorship and Development**: The Senior Planner will play an active role in the mentoring and career development of Planning personnel, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to succeed in their roles.
- **Contract Compliance**: The Senior Planner will be responsible for ensuring that project schedules are maintained in accordance with approved contract and project Work Breakdown Structure.
