- Cook and serve dishes according to the restaurant's menu, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
- Direct kitchen staff, including Commis, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards, to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Maintain a clean working area and reset as necessary, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Provide on-the-job training and track progress, contributing to the development of junior staff members.
- Evaluate employee performance and contribute to their growth and advancement within the organization.
- Educate new staff on corporate orientation within their first month, promoting a smooth transition into the team.
- Coach, counsel, and discipline staff as needed, providing constructive feedback to improve performance.
- Develop and implement induction programs, allocating sufficient time for implementation and ensuring a thorough understanding of job expectations.
- Collaborate with superiors to manage departmental finances and ensure productivity, aligning with business objectives.
- Promote sustainability by implementing cost-saving measures and recycling initiatives, minimizing the organization's environmental footprint.
