Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Sustainable Development at the American University of Sharjah. The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics or a business-related discipline and a proven track record of conducting high-quality research in one or more of the specified clusters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in entrepreneurial skills, management, and growth strategies, sustainable food systems, environmental sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and community-driven social change, technology production, innovation, and sustainable development, and responsible consumption/production and the circular economy in the fashion and tourism industries.
  • Develop and implement research projects that align with the center's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and other researchers to advance the center's research agenda.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier academic journals.
  • Present research at conferences and seminars.
Qualifications
  • PhD in economics or a business-related discipline from an accredited university (earned within the last five years).
  • Fulfillment of all doctoral requirements before the fellowship appointment.
  • Proven ability to conduct high-quality research in one or more of the specified clusters.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
