Electrical Operations Manager

About This Role:

  • As a key member of the facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical operations within the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
  • Utilizing your expertise in power systems and electrical maintenance, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
  • You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to your team members to maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
  • Analyzing design schematics and technical documentation, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues, guaranteeing compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial; you will oversee the purchasing and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure that it remains in good working order.
  • Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, including builders, architects, and other on-site workers.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, you will continuously improve processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Designing and implementing effective work schedules for the electrical staff.
  • Providing motivation and assistance when necessary to ensure team members meet their objectives.
  • Conducting regular inspections to assess the quality of work performed by the electrical staff.
  • Reading and interpreting design schematics to guarantee the proper installation of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting major system failures and equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Repairing and maintaining electrical equipment to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions.
  • Overseeing the purchasing and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Ensuring that all electrical work is completed on schedule and to code.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work area to promote a positive and healthy work environment.
  • Consulting with builders, architects, and other on-site workers to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.
