About the Role

Main Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse and data lake.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Data Quality and Monitoring: Develop and implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Data Modeling and Schemas: Build and maintain data models and schemas to support reporting and analytics.
  • Technology Exploration: Explore and implement new data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other data engineers.
  • Integration and Development: Work closely with the development team to integrate into applications and products.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data pipelines and data warehousing.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles, proficiency in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages, experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow, AWS Glue, etc., experience with IaC tools like Terraform for provisioning data infrastructure, experience with AWS cloud and cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Snowflake/Redshift, familiarity with data quality and profiling tools like Great Expectations/Dbt, familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
