The Sourcing Manager is responsible for executing strategic sourcing initiatives to align demand and supply of goods and services.
This role involves delivering measurable value to the organization through effective commercial and legal negotiations, contract enablement, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure suppliers and contracts deliver value for money, minimize risk, and improve service and social objectives.
- Provide leadership and accountability for process compliance and optimal sourcing benefits from category management.
- Negotiate best commercial value for purchases in collaboration with requesting departments.
- Work with stakeholders to define category strategies, set performance objectives, and monitor progress.
- Develop annual category sourcing plans through detailed analysis of contracts, spend analysis, usage patterns, future demands, and benchmark data.
- Lead transformational change through category strategies to include demand management, specification review, and grouping of similar goods and/or services.
- Ensure market intelligence is updated regularly and takes appropriate steps to mitigate potential impact on the organization.
- Monitor and report strategic savings on a monthly basis.
- Review category management information to identify new opportunities to minimize savings gaps.
