About the Role

Consultz is currently assisting a client in their pursuit of a UAE National candidate for the position of Financial Risk Analysis Specialist within their Risk Management division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis: Gather and evaluate pertinent financial and economic data to facilitate the model development process across various business sectors.
  • Model Development: Integrate profitability measures, operational growth drivers, and depreciation considerations into the model construction process.
  • Financial Valuation: Perform financial assessments and valuations utilizing methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Net Present Value (NPV), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
  • Financial Statement Review: Analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for diverse businesses and assist in financial due diligence activities.
  • Forecasting Models: Incorporate historical financial data, economic indicators, and expert insights to develop forecasting models, updating them with the latest market analyses and data feeds.
  • Risk Scenarios: Create risk and financial scenarios across business sectors based on relevant financial data, market insights, and stakeholder contributions.
  • Scenario Analysis: Conduct scenario analyses considering microeconomic and macroeconomic factors across various business segments.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify critical financial and non-financial risk indicators and provide actionable recommendations for potential mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • A master’s degree, CFA, or diploma in financial planning is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial services, corporate banking, or consulting.
  • Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles and a robust understanding of financial analysis terminology and techniques (e.g., DCF, NPV, IRR).
  • Advanced statistical and quantitative abilities to analyze extensive datasets, identify correlations, and create effective forecasting models.
  • Strong comprehension of financial statements and key financial performance indicators, including financial ratios and profitability metrics.
  • Exceptional Excel and financial modeling capabilities, along with advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
