Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller - Professional Services Industry to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial controls and processes, managing the finance team, and providing commercial insights to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Controls: Embed and oversee financial controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Team Management: Manage the finance team to ensure effective prioritization of all key deliverables and maximize the use of technology to deliver efficiently.
- Commercial Insights: Provide commercial insights to the management team, supporting strategic decision-making and driving business growth.
- Board Packs: Prepare monthly board packs for the local management team and Group Finance, providing commercial analysis on performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process to ensure accurate projections and informed decision-making.
- Working Capital: Ensure efficient working capital management, leading on the billing process and working closely with the management team to ensure timely collection of cash.
- Audit and Compliance: Prepare the annual financial statements and lead the Sanctuary audit process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Attend management/board meetings as required and contribute to the wider Group Finance community, driving finance initiatives forward.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate financial processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a finance role, preferably in the professional services industry.
- Proven track record of delivering financial management and control solutions.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed recommendations.
