Job Description

Black Pearl Consult is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Internal Audit to join our team in Dubai. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the internal audit function and providing assurance and advisory services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the risk identification and assessment process and all audit delivery for the assigned business portfolio.
  • Develop a long-term strategy and vision for providing audit services to the business entities using a risk-based audit planning methodology, expert industry knowledge, and best practices.
  • Drive initiatives across the organization to strengthen audit governance and control.
  • Provide assurance and advisory services, as well as special assignments, as requested by management, to assist the business in enhancing operational efficiency, improving revenue, and reducing costs while promoting and influencing the adoption of best practice control and governance frameworks.
  • Develop relationships with key members of senior management across the organization and advise them on addressing key risks affecting their businesses in the most efficient way through the use of analytics, policies, processes, and control frameworks to achieve optimal risk protection.
  • Build and demonstrate subject matter expertise across the lines of business to provide focused audit and advisory solutions based on a structured risk-based approach. Obtain management agreement for risks and controls and design an effective plan to manage/mitigate those risks.
  • Ensure audit teams comply with internationally accepted auditing standards and codes of ethics published by regulatory bodies, including the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with multiple internal and external parties to enable combined assurance. Represent the organization at external professional forums and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry and profession to promote best practices across the department and the organization.
  • Take responsibility for achieving Internal Audit department metrics/key performance indicators through leading effective delivery of a broad range of risk assurance and advisory services.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Master or Bachelor in Finance/Audit or any related specialty, Chartered Accountant/CPA/CIA.
  • Experience: 10 years with knowledge and experience of an internal audit function, with experience in leading teams in a complex environment.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and internal control frameworks.
  • Aptitude for continuous learning and development.
