Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team at Caliberly. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems for web and cloud applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Backend Development: Develop and maintain high-quality backend services using Java, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality applications that meet business requirements.
  • API Management: Implement and manage APIs and third-party integrations, ensuring seamless communication between systems.
  • Code Optimization: Optimize and refactor codebases for performance, scalability, and security, ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Software Development Lifecycle: Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment, ensuring software quality and meeting business objectives.
  • Cloud Development: Work on cloud-based application development using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Code Review: Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Testing and Debugging: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure software quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Java development, ensuring our technology stack remains up-to-date and efficient.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Java backend development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related frameworks.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native development.
  • API Development: Skilled in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Database Management: Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Version Control: Strong knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities, with strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
  • Front-end Development: Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular) is advantageous.
  • DevOps Tools: Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
