- Teamwork: Coordinate with pilots, air traffic control, and ground personnel to ensure smooth flight operations.
- Flight Monitoring: Monitor flights in progress and communicate any necessary updates or changes to pilots and crew.
- Documentation: Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve issues or delays that may arise during flight operations.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on all relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Mentorship: Assist in training new dispatchers and contribute to team development.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field preferred.
- Certification: Valid FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience in flight dispatching or a related aviation role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, flight operations, and meteorology.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in computer applications and aviation software, including Foreflight, Jet Insight, and Leon.
