We are seeking an experienced Civil and Structural Lead Engineer to oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities for a high-profile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with project requirements and standards, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the civil and structural engineering activities for the project ensuring timely and quality delivery of designs and documentation.
- Review and approve civil and structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with international standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, project management, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of civil and structural designs.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to address complex civil and structural challenges.
- Monitor and evaluate contractor performance during design and construction phases ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction activities meet design intent and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards in all civil and structural engineering activities.
- Review and resolve technical queries (TQ) and engineering change requests related to civil and structural aspects.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for project management and stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers fostering a culture of excellence and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 12-15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline construction projects.
- Skills: Proficiency in engineering design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, SAP2000, AutoCAD), strong knowledge of international civil and structural engineering codes and standards, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong leadership and communication skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder engagement, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
