Job Title: Insurance Underwriter

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing all work related to the Non-Motor General Insurance Department.


Key Responsibilities
  • Apply sound underwriting principles on all lines of business of the Non-Motor General Insurance department.
  • Prepare, submit, record, and follow up on quotations/tenders.
  • Draft Policy Wordings for Facilitative and Fronting General Insurance Businesses (excluding Financial Lines).
  • Issue, prepare, and examine all Non-Motor General Insurance documents according to systems and applicable laws.
  • Prepare and issue renewal notices.
  • Negotiate with local and international reinsurance brokers and insurers to obtain facilitative reinsurance support and special acceptances.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a relevant position.
  • Knowledge of Underwriting Guidelines, Non-Motor Insurance Products, and Treaty Reinsurance Guidelines.
