The Product Manager is tasked with overseeing a product or portfolio within the product line. The ideal candidate will implement the strategy as directed by the Global Product Line Director or Product Line Manager. Key responsibilities include supporting product development and investment decisions, executing product go-to-market strategies, creating product marketing materials, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure effective product life cycle management.

As a Product Manager for Production Enhancement, your responsibilities will include:

  • Accountability for the business and financial performance of the product(s).
  • Acting as the product advocate both internally and externally, conducting demonstrations, presentations, and training for stakeholders, customers, and partners to highlight the product's value proposition and benefits.
  • Formulating a product strategy and vision informed by market research, customer feedback, and product line objectives.
  • Collaborating across the organization to validate the S&OP forecast and identify products for specialized supply chain strategies, while working with the supply chain team to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
  • Conducting comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
  • Defining the product roadmap and prioritizing features and enhancements accordingly.
  • Overseeing the Product Development Management (PDM) process for product management, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering & Technology, Supply Chain, and Service Delivery to ensure successful development. Participating in Stage Gates with the technology team and providing necessary documentation for gate meetings.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to products, while aligning and leveraging the total supplier base to influence product line and market strategy.
  • Planning and executing successful product launches, including defining pricing strategies, positioning the product in the market, and developing marketing and communication plans. Ensuring that technological advancements are validated with customers and regulatory agencies.
  • Managing the product life cycle and monitoring product performance, including NPR/NPI performance.
  • Leading initiatives that integrate product development with process improvement activities.
  • Providing technical support to Service Delivery teams for specific escalation requests.
  • Driving initiatives and associated technologies aimed at reducing carbon footprint.
  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies, legal compliance requirements, and core values.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a technical support role.
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, analytical and conceptual skills, and flexibility.
  • A thorough understanding of product line technology and service delivery requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The capability to develop and mentor small technical teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
