The Senior Audit Manager will oversee the execution of the approved audit plan, develop a detailed internal audit plan, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and ensure the audit team's efficiency.



Audit Planning

  • Develop a comprehensive internal audit plan, incorporating timelines and necessary resources for smooth execution.
  • Ensure adequate preparation and coordination with stakeholders for audit activities.


Audit Execution and Monitoring

  • Supervise internal audit activities, ensuring they adhere to established standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of audit engagements, documenting all stages according to approved methodologies.
  • Review and endorse documentation outputs before submission to the Head of Internal Audit for final review and approval.
  • Evaluate performance, establish realistic budgets, and maintain effective project management during each audit engagement.


Implementation and Follow-up

  • Develop a structured tracking system for audit recommendations.
  • Oversee action plans due for implementation, allocating tasks to IAD staff and monitoring their completion.


Leadership and Development

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning within the Internal Audit team, focusing on personal and professional growth.
  • Encourage effective use of Audit Management Tools to enhance team productivity.
  • Pursue ongoing education opportunities for oneself and recommend suitable training for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback to support employee development.
  • Develop and implement succession plans for key positions within the team.


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in internal audit and/or external audit.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a managerial capacity within internal audit.


Essential Skills

  • A solid understanding of regional auditing standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Audit Management Systems and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, with Arabic being an advantageous skill.
