Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to join our Materials Management Department at University Hospital Sharjah.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accreditation Support: Participate in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to assist University Hospital Sharjah in attaining and maintaining international accreditation standards.
  • Inventory Control: Receive and inspect all incoming materials, reconcile with purchase orders, process and distribute documentation, and report, document, and track damages, expiries, and discrepancies on orders received.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Fill material requisitions, assist buyers in ordering adequate supplies, and deliver orders to the hospital and staff.
  • Warehouse Management: Receive, store, tag, and track surplus/expired stock, prepare lists for items to be returned, condemned, or sold at auction.
  • Document Management: Receive and store documents and confidential files, maintain records of approved document and confidential file destruction.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain the warehouse, records area, and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Team Leadership: Train and direct the work of assistants.
  • Professional Development: Participate in internal orientation, mandatory, ongoing education programs, attend external conferences, workshops, seminars, and courses to enhance and maintain a current knowledge base.
  • Flexibility: Work any shift as per the duty roster of the Materials Management Department when designated.
  • Employment Terms: The employment terms and conditions for this position are specified in the individual's Employment Contract.
