Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of precision metal parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Review and verify material test certificates to ensure compliance with purchase orders and drawing requirements.
  • Perform batch inspections before outsourcing to ensure that all parts meet the required quality standards.
  • Carry out in-process audits on the shop floor to ensure that all processes are being followed correctly.
  • Inspect goods inwards, including OP/OS, etc., to ensure that they meet the relevant drawings and PO requirements.
  • Raise NCRs for both in-house products and supplier products in JDE, as well as shipping NCRs for intercompany orders.
  • Document inspection results and upload QC documents on ONBASE.
  • Pass parts off using JDE after successful inspection and documentation.
  • Update procedures and specs when required to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Train machinists on the use of precision measuring instruments and how to inspect thread profiles and other dimensions.
  • Conduct MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) and PT (Penetrant Testing) as per the requirements shown in QA plans.
  • Phosphate unit titration and control phosphate process as per specification requirements.
  • Review and control shot peening process as per specification requirements.
  • Raw material MTC review of the inventory parts to ensure compliance with specifications.

Requirements

  • BS Industrial Engineering and Management or equivalent degree.
  • BE Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good communication skills in English - written and verbal.
  • 5+ years' experience in precision metal parts inspection.
  • Level II certification in LPT and MPI.
  • Capable of using precision measuring instruments used by the Quality department.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
