About the Role:

The Environmental Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that Samsung products sold in the SGE region comply with local environmental requirements. This includes managing product compliance related to local Environmental Law, monitoring developments and government rules/legislations related to environment and safety, understanding basic Environmental Engineering, and checking the status of Samsung products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure Samsung products sold in the region comply with local government environmental requirements.
  2. Check new requirements announced by local government regarding electronic products.
  3. Liaise with HQ CS Environment team to make required changes in product/packaging to avoid any legal issues.
  4. Ensure all approvals are done in time from ESMA to avoid any impact/loss in product sales or damage to company image.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in handling environmental issues/customer service with a reputed company.
  • Graduate Engineer/Diploma in Environmental Engineering.
  • Ability to perform and work under different conditions and be a team player.
  • Existing experience in GCC.
  • Good networking with the local industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple partners.
  • Self-starter able to work under minimum supervision.
