Job Requirements:

  1. You will be responsible for analyzing global oil markets with a focus on commodities trading, assessing supply/demand fundamentals, price trends, and geopolitical events to identify profitable trading opportunities.
  2. You will negotiate and execute trades for physical oil products (crude oil and refined commodities), building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, refineries, and end users.
  3. You will coordinate with logistics teams to ensure seamless movement of oil commodities, including tank-to-tank transfers, vessel chartering, and storage management.
  4. You will monitor and manage risks associated with physical commodity trading, implementing hedging strategies where necessary.
  5. You will lead negotiations on trade contracts, ensuring favorable terms for delivery, pricing, and quality.
  6. You will ensure all trades comply with international regulations and internal policies, maintaining accurate trade documentation, contracts, and shipping details.
  7. You will track and assess the performance and profitability of trades, making timely adjustments to strategies as required.
  8. You will work closely with finance, legal, and logistics teams to manage the entire lifecycle of trades and optimize operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Energy Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in physical oil trading with a focus on commodities, and a strong track record of profitable deals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of commodity market dynamics, including supply chains, pricing structures, and trade documentation.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in managing complex transactions.
  • Established relationships with key market participants (suppliers, refineries, and customers).
  • Knowledgeable in international trade regulations and logistics management.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.
