About the Role:

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Data Protection Specialist to spearhead our data protection initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data protection and related fields, along with expertise in risk assessment methodologies and data protection impact assessments (DPIA).

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection technologies such as encryption, Information Labeling, data loss prevention (DLP), and identity and access management (IAM) solutions. Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks and standards related to data protection, such as ISO 27001 or NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), is also essential.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust data privacy frameworks tailored to our organizational needs and regulatory requirements. You'll also be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to identify gaps between current data privacy practices and ISO 27701 requirements, and developing detailed implementation plans, timelines, and milestones to achieve ISO 27701 compliance.

The selected candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security or a related field, and relevant certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). Having Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is highly desirable.
