Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Drawing Creation: Produce detailed and accurate technical drawings, plans, and blueprints using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  2. Design Interpretation: Work closely with architects, engineers, and designers to understand design concepts and translate them into technical drawings that meet project requirements.
  3. Quality Control: Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet industry standards, client expectations, and project specifications.
  4. Revisions & Updates: Make necessary revisions to drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers. Ensure that all changes are accurately documented and communicated.
  5. Coordination: Collaborate with other draftsmen, architects, and engineers to ensure consistency across all drawings and documents. Coordinate with project teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  6. Material & Specification Detailing: Provide detailed information on materials, dimensions, and construction methods to ensure that the drawings can be effectively used in the construction process.
  7. Document Management: Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documents. Ensure that all files are properly stored and accessible for future reference.
  8. Mentorship & Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior draftsmen, helping them develop their technical skills and understanding of industry standards.
  9. Compliance: Ensure that all drawings comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in drafting, with a strong background in architectural, structural, or mechanical fields.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant design tools. Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and precision in creating technical drawings and documentation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in drafting or CAD software are preferred.
