We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Contract Engineer to join our team at Orion Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing EPC contracts and associated contracts for large-scale projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities- Contract Management: Manage the preparation of EPC contracts and associated contracts in close coordination with the Engineering Manager, Package Manager/Leader, and discipline engineers.
- Tender Issuance and Assessment: Issue and follow-up on Call For Tenders to all bidders, including coordination of the bidders' qualification, and assess all tenders to prepare a recommendation to award to the internal Committee and external stakeholders.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts on a daily basis until project close out, and prepare and present variations to internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Claim Resolution: Protect CPY in all contractual activities, including variation management, to avoid any claims, and assist in claim resolution with contractors.
- Mentorship: Mentor the Contract team, especially if any secondees are assigned to the Contract Team.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of EPC Contracts Management experience in the FEED/Execution phases.
- Qualifications: Degree in Legal counsel, Engineer, or Management School, with arbitration and dispute experience required.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the Oil & Gas industry with similar large-scale projects and environments on onshore/offshore grass root or green field projects.
- Language: English as a mother tongue or fluent in English (speaking and writing), with French and/or Arabic language a plus.
