Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled MIS Accountant to join our team at Robinson & Co (Singapore) Pte Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of billing, monitoring departmental activities and revenue, and submitting monthly auto units billing to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor departmental activities and revenue on a daily and weekly basis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Consolidate and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and management reports, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Analyze shipment creation from billing and yard logistics aspects, identifying revenue leakage and developing solutions to prevent future losses.
  • Utilize fuel control and analysis to generate vehicle-wise reports, ensuring optimal fuel efficiency and cost savings.
  • Perform discovery and analysis to document workflow, processes, and needs, creating business requirements and functional/technical specifications to address these needs.
  • Prepare automotive logistics budgets and forecasts, updating the same in IFRP and ensuring timely submission.
  • Monthly BSS (Balance Sheet Substantiation) for two entities, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • Freight revenue/margin report and incentive working, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Automotive revenue report by activity on a monthly basis, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Freight revenue and margin report on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.

Monthly Report:

  • Volume report by brand/location and movement, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Rebate computation on a quarterly basis as per agreement with port authorities, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • Standing guarantee report from customs authorities and status/reconciliation, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Revenue and cost of sales, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.

Operations (AFL):

  • Invoice/cost-related matters, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • Costing, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Knowledge on the customer, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Query response, providing timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.

Finance and Finance Support Team:

  • Overheads analysis, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Overheads comparison with budget, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • Review of risk and opportunities on the business, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Budget support, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports.

Management:

  • Monthly reports, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Monthly commercial report, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting.
  • MIS, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • IFRP update, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reports.

Required Skills:

  • CA qualified with 4 years' experience, providing a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
  • Analytical skills, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Good communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

About the Team:

You will be reporting to the Finance Manager, working closely with the team to achieve business objectives.

What Equips You for the Role:

  • Professional qualification of CA or ACCA, providing a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
  • 4 years in finance, including 6 years in freight management and commercial/operation support, providing a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Working in a logistics company will be an added advantage, providing a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Understanding of the business, providing insights and recommendations for business growth.
