Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Specialist to draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents for various financial transactions, including loans, project finance, and Islamic finance.
  • This role will provide legal support for corporate, trade finance, and treasury products, as well as assist in rolling out new products.
  • The ideal candidate will manage litigation and dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiations, to protect our organization's interests.
  • You will advise on legal risk, regulatory compliance, and assist in due diligence processes for new products.
  • This role requires collaboration with internal teams to develop and standardize legal agreements in line with best practices.
  • You will stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on the business.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in banking and finance law, preferably with experience in both in-house and law firm environments.
  • Strong background in corporate finance, trade finance, and treasury products, with specific knowledge of UAE and DIFC legal procedures.
  • The ability to manage complex legal matters autonomously, while collaborating with senior stakeholders for more challenging issues.
  • Ideally bilingual in Arabic and English, with familiarity in common law jurisdictions.
  • Prior experience in mediation and litigation is essential.
