Job Summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled Firefighting BIM Modeler to join our Digital Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing detailed BIM models for firefighting systems using Autodesk Revit and other BIM software.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Model Development: Create and develop detailed BIM models for firefighting systems, ensuring compliance with project standards, specifications, and local fire safety regulations.
  2. Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate firefighting systems within the overall project model.
  3. Clash Detection and Resolution: Use clash detection tools to identify and resolve conflicts within the firefighting systems and between other disciplines.
  4. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation and reports related to firefighting BIM models.
  6. Drawings and Schedules: Generate accurate and detailed drawings and schedules from the BIM models for use in project documentation and construction.
Key Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in firefighting BIM modeling in the GCC region.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
  4. Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of firefighting systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems.
  5. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, and ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
