Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes standard methodologies to resolve issues, applying established techniques with minor adaptations to address problems with limited variables.
  • Collaborates with drafters, technicians, and other professionals to ensure project success.
  • Coordinates efforts with fellow engineers and operational teams to enhance collaboration across various organizational units.
  • Conducts tests and investigates technical issues through diverse sources of information.
  • Designs or modifies components while interpreting specifications and instructions.
  • Evaluates the acceptability of materials and work completed by contractors.
  • Responsible for studies of limited scope that require the application of established methods.
  • Addresses problems related to existing technologies and applications, which may include non-recurring challenges.
  • Exhibits sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods for assigned tasks.
  • Implements minor modifications to accommodate local conditions, new scenarios, or to enhance safety, efficiency, and applicability.
  • Actively participates in design reviews and takes comprehensive notes.
  • Reviews vendor documentation under supervision and guidance.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and communicates across project and contract interfaces.
  • Engages with the interdisciplinary community and fosters discipline through networking and knowledge sharing.
  • Builds internal relationships beyond one’s immediate work group, particularly with internal customers.
  • Consults with local and divisional resources as necessary.
  • Initiates information exchanges, participates as a team member, and communicates relevant information to appropriate parties in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 15-20 years of pertinent experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Fundamental knowledge of developing H&MB, PFDs, P&IDs, and MSDs.
  • Capability to perform hydraulic calculations and various equipment sizing.
  • Basic understanding of relief and blowdown calculations.
  • Proficiency in developing process simulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English.
