Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Health eCareers. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures, communicating with cardiologists, and assisting patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Patient Care: Assist patients with transportation and provide data entry and file work support.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance functions and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of a two-year AMA-approved program in diagnostic medical sonography, or a two-year Allied Health program with successful completion and certification of an ARDMS program.
  • Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Licensure: Sonography Technologist License (Oregon).
  • Basic Life Support: Certification within one month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echosonography.
  • Skills: Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
