Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Bartender to join our team at Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Exceptional Guest Service
    • To consistently display the highest standards of national hospitality and professionalism when interacting with guests.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Work Environment
    • To take pride in all aspects of service, quality, appearance, and cleanliness in your area of responsibility.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
    • To understand and adhere to Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures and to always look for opportunities to recommend improvements to those procedures.
  • Prepare and Set Up the Bar
    • To professionally set up the bar at the start of opening, including liquor, ice, glassware, juices, and garnishes.
  • Process Drink Orders
    • To process drink orders in the proper calling order, to check for the correct number of drinks, and to manage billing quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepare Cocktails
    • To make all cocktails in accordance with Anantara Resorts & Spas standard beverage manual, using full standard measures.
  • Manage Inventory and Security
    • To receive and check liquor against previous shift's requisitions. Any discrepancies with the receiving order should be brought to the attention of the Bar Supervisor.
  • Ensure a Safe and Secure Work Environment
    • To manage security in the work area and to never leave the bar area unless properly relieved by a colleague.
  • Assist with Cleaning and Maintenance
    • To assist with cleanup, including mopping floors, removal of cans and bottles, general cleaning of rails and counters, and removal of melting ice in bins.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a high-end hotel or resort.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask.
  • Knowledge of standard beverage procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
