About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Building Inspector to join our team at AECOM. As an Electrical Building Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that contractors comply with contract documents and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reading and understanding contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures.
  • Ensuring contractors comply with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testing.
  • Maintaining records of contractor manpower and equipment resources.
  • Undertaking site supervision and inspections as required or instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
  • Documenting contractors' personnel and equipment activities, location, reason for activities, and means and methods utilized.
  • Reporting on materials delivery and implementing site instructions made by the leader.
  • Applying and implementing quality controls and procedures of the site.
  • Preparing site measurements and surveying checks needed by the leader.
  • Monitoring conformance to quality performance and/or code requirements through inspection duties.
  • Monitoring the Health and Safety of construction works and reporting on violations.
Requirements
  • Experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy, with a minimum of 8 years of overall experience (minimum 5 years in the UAE).
  • A diploma holder in Electrical Engineering is acceptable for the Inspector position.
  • A related BSc Degree is required in the Engineering field for progression to Engineer level.
