We are seeking a qualified Computer Science educator to join our team at GEMS Education. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching IB DP Computer Science and preferably AP Computer Science.
Key Responsibilities:- Embodying Excellence: Embody and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver the required curriculum, demonstrating accurate and up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver quality lessons to motivate students, creating and utilizing appropriate materials and the classroom environment to cater for different learning styles.
- Record Keeping and Planning: Show written evidence of planning and preparation on request, establishing and maintaining records of curriculum and year plans, attendance, teaching resources, assessment plans, etc.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
- Differentiated Instruction: Teach students assigned according to their individual needs using appropriate teaching strategies that meet student needs and abilities, e.g., late-entering students, ESL, low academic ability, gifted and talented, etc.
- Assessment and Reporting: Set and mark work, assess, record, and report on the academic development, progress, and attainment of students, and use assessment to ensure the curriculum meets the individual student's needs.
