This position is part of the Reliability Unit at Asterix Communications, a leading company in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to plant departments, assessing operations and maintenance for rotating equipment and compressor systems, and developing lifecycle management activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Support: Provide expertise and training to plant departments on rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  2. Operations Assessment: Evaluate plant operations, maintenance, and engineering for rotating equipment and compressor systems, recommending improvements and system optimization.
  3. Lifecycle Management: Develop and maintain lifecycle management activities for rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  4. Predictive Maintenance: Coordinate Predictive Maintenance (PdM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) for rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  5. Knowledge Capture: Ensure manufacturing knowledge is captured and continuous improvement is achieved by benchmarking and improving practices across operating facilities.
  6. Leadership: Provide leadership and support for rotating equipment and compressor systems across operating facilities.
  7. Engineering Expertise: Offer engineering expertise and consulting on plant rotating equipment and compressor systems.
  8. Failure Analysis: Conduct thorough failure analysis and issue recommendations, participating in equipment major failure investigation teams.
  9. Operating Parameters: Gather and analyze critical operating parameters from DCS, PI systems, and operator checklists, recommending corrective actions.
  10. Technical Scopes: Prepare detailed technical scopes for major equipment overhauls.
  11. Installation and Configuration: Maintain and execute installation, configuration, and upgrade procedures.
  12. Plant Outages: Lead or support plant outages, shutdowns, and troubleshoot problems.
  13. System Testing: Perform system testing and health monitoring, utilizing system logs for troubleshooting.
  14. Productivity Improvement: Create and implement new strategies to improve productivity and support startup and maintenance activities.
  15. Engineering Design Change: Review Engineering Design Change (EDC), new, and upgrade project packages, providing comments.
  16. Asset Fault Analysis: Establish and maintain an asset fault analysis database, ensuring completeness of data, drawings, and information, and updating all modifications.
Requirements:
  1. Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  2. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  3. Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in rotating equipment within a refinery or the Petrochemical industry.
  4. Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of best engineering practices, solid industry codes, and standards background.
  5. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in engineering software such as System1, CCC, or Vibration CSI.
