Job Requirements:

This role requires a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in mechanical engineering design and build, specifically focusing on chillers and HVAC systems in large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate mechanical risks specific to chillers and HVAC systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Validate the mechanical design provided by the design and build contractor for chillers and HVAC systems ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of chiller and HVAC systems including cooling towers, air handling units, and related mechanical systems ensuring they meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Ensure that all mechanical systems comply with relevant standards and quality benchmarks throughout the installation and commissioning phases.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and build with a specific focus on chillers and HVAC systems preferably in large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
  • 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer specifically in the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems related to HVAC.
