Job Summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled Plumbing BIM Modeler to join our team. As a key member of our digital engineering department, you will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate 3D models of plumbing systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain BIM Models: Create detailed 3D BIM models for plumbing systems, including piping layouts, fixtures, equipment, and other plumbing components.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with plumbing engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to integrate plumbing designs into overall building and site plans.
  • Ensure Design Integrity: Ensure BIM models accurately represent plumbing design intent and comply with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct Clash Detection and Coordination Reviews: Use Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between plumbing systems and other building elements.
  • Generate Accurate Drawings and Documentation: Create accurate drawings, schedules, and documentation from BIM models for construction and installation purposes.
  • Provide BIM Expertise and Support: Support project teams by providing BIM expertise, participating in project coordination meetings, and assisting with design reviews.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Plumbing BIM Modeler in a design consultancy environment within the GCC region.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit software for BIM modeling of plumbing systems; strong skills in AutoCAD and Navisworks.
  • Design Principles: Solid understanding of plumbing design principles, piping layouts, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and plumbing design requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Local Availability: Candidates who are locally available in the UAE are preferred.
  • Immediate Start: Can join immediately.
