Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team at Al Nahiya Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and implementing measures to prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enforce safety policies, conduct training programs, and investigate incidents to improve workplace safety.
  • Ensure that all new employees and visitors undergo prescribed induction training according to procedures and impart refresher training to existing employees.
  • Carry out issuance of safety gear to employees and keep records of all safety items issued and delivered.
  • Patrol daily on a regular basis to check and inspect various installations and locations, ensuring that the operational level is in accordance with Company standards.
  • Ensure serviceability of portable H2S & Hydro Carbon detectors, Multi Gas Detectors, and 4 Runner Gas Detectors, and maintain records of calibration and replenishment.
  • Assist the HSSE Engineer by participating in Job Safety Analysis / Task Risk Assessments and ensure critical activities are performed after completion of Task Risk Assessments.
  • Maintain and ensure that proper HSSE and mandatory signs are available and visible at required locations.
Requirements
  • Perfect knowledge of all kinds of fire extinguishers (mobile and fixed).
  • Knowledge of working in H2S environments and associated emergency response plans.
  • Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of Safety Foremen from all aspects.
  • Conversance with all life-saving equipment, especially of offshore installations (e.g., life jacket, life ring).
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Knowledge of OH&S and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
