The Technical Supervisor for Entertainment Systems oversees and manages the daily operations and maintenance of audio-visual, lighting, and special effects systems across various attractions.
This role involves conducting regular inspections of all entertainment technology areas, documenting findings, and implementing necessary corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily evaluations of all technical entertainment areas and document findings along with corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and job plans.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades and identify training needs.
- Assist the Senior Technical Manager in overseeing the on-site technical team.
- Achieve divisional objectives while ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Support and manage events, including live performances.
- Participate in vendor selection and approve designs prior to project initiation.
- Oversee the resolution of outstanding technical projects from external parties and manage time losses and claims.
- Ensure timely project delivery in alignment with industry standards.
- Lead maintenance operations and allocate tasks to team members.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment efforts.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the AV or Maintenance sector.
- Hands-on installation experience and relevant technical qualifications.
- Proven troubleshooting capabilities and operational management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adherence to strict timelines.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift weights up to 25 kg.
- Experience supervising large teams across multiple venues.
- Familiarity with Qsys or similar systems, as well as Medialon, Crestron, LED lighting, and video systems.
- Experience with maintenance management systems and working at heights.
