Job Summary:
NMC Royal Khalifa City is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse In Charge to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organization and management of nursing duties, day-to-day operational tasks, and providing leadership and support to staff.
About the Role:
The Nurse In Charge will be responsible for ensuring that patient needs are assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated. They will also coordinate the care given by all members of nursing staff, develop individual programs of care for patients and families, and work effectively as a manager and clinical nurse within the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the organization and management of nursing duties and day-to-day operational tasks.
- To provide effective leadership and support to staff, patients, and their families.
- To ensure that patient needs are assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated.
- To coordinate the care given by all members of nursing staff.
- To develop individual programs of care for patients and families.
- To work effectively as a manager and clinical nurse within the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (3 years) from an accredited school of nursing
- Critical care qualification
- PALS (for pediatric patients)
- Pediatric qualification (for Paeds RN)
- ACLS (for adult patients)
- Teaching and assessing
- Leadership or management course
Requirements:
- 2 years minimum clinical experience plus 2 years' experience with ventilated patients (i.e. adult patients for adult RN post and pediatric patients for pediatric RN post)
- Homedialysis experience
- Teaching experience
- Mentorship/preceptorship of new/junior staff
- Recent leadership and management experience
Certification and Licensure:
- Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment
- Eligible for DOH licensing
