Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accounting Strategy and Operations:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive accounting strategy that aligns with our business goals.
  • Ensure adherence to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Corporate Tax requirements.
Daily Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Performance Monitoring:
  • Establish and monitor accounting KPIs to measure and improve performance.
  • Regularly produce financial reports and statements for stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations across the team.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, hire, and train new employees to build a competent accounting team.
  • Ensure other employees adhere to standards.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on financial analysis.
Audit and Compliance:
  • Perform and oversee weekly, monthly, and annual audits to ensure financial integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager for at least 10 years in the field leading a department in a fast-paced organization.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Office.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and databases.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on the company's success.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team player with good time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • BS/CA in Finance preferred.
