About the Role:
Asterix Communications is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher in Evolutionary Genomics to join our team. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in population genomics and evolutionary biology, focusing on the identification of genes and genomic features that have evolved adaptively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct population genomics analyses on insects and plants to identify genes and genomic features that have evolved adaptively.
- Investigate the evolution of transposable elements in a population genomics context.
- Develop an autonomous line of research related to the interests of the lab in evolutionary genomics.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. degree in Biology or a related field.
- Significant experience in population genomics, transposable elements biology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Scientific creativity and a strong background in evolutionary biology and bioinformatics.
