About the Role:
The Fashion Retail Buyer will be responsible for developing and implementing a suitable buying strategy in line with Brand and Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle guidelines. This includes purchasing commercial and profitable product ranges to maximize profitability and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Buy Strategy Formulation: Formulate a buy strategy that aligns with Brand and Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle goals.
- Purchase Management: Purchase products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
- Stock Control: Control stock levels to minimize loss of sales and balance product mix through regular analysis.
- Negotiation: Negotiate product pricing, cost of shipment, payment terms, and intake margin with local vendors.
- Brand Performance Monitoring: Monitor brand performance and initiate corrective action where necessary.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Planning, Finance, Digital, Logistics, and Operations teams to drive common business goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field is preferred.
- Retail Management Qualification: A Retail Management qualification is highly regarded.
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in Buying and Merchandising roles are required.
- Fashion Retail Background: A background in fashion retail is mandatory.
